TCG Card Price Types Explained
One card can show listing prices, recorded sales, and market guide values at the same time. These signals use different evidence and should not be treated as interchangeable.
Before comparing prices, confirm the same variant, language, condition, grading company, and grade.
Listings and sales
A listing low is a current public asking price, not a completed sale. Recorded sales and ranges reflect observed transactions but still depend on timing, condition, and sample size.
Market guide values
A market guide is a source's reference indicator. It should not be presented as a current listing or completed sale, so Cardsten labels each type separately when evidence is available.
